Mathewsons Auctions
- A new 'Verbal Report' service for Mathewsons customers..... only £150 per vehicle.
- I make regular visits to Mathewsons Auctions in Pickering to carry out inspections on behalf of potential bidders/buyers.
- Typically, I telephone the customer before I leave Mathewsons storage facility to give a detailed verbal report of my findings. Many customers find this style of reporting more than covers their needs, and as such, do not require a written report. I do however, still email any relevant photographs of the vehicle.
- So, I shall now be offering this new service for potential buyers at Mathewsons Auctions as a third reporting option.
- You can of course 'upgrade' to a full written report if required.
The reports:
My 'Pre purchase reports' come in two forms, a shorter 'Standard Report', usually four A4 pages, but still a comprehensive report which covers all aspects of the vehicle condition...... mechanical, interior, body, available documentation etc plus photographs where needed, and then a more detailed 'Extended Report', usually five pages plus. This report covers all aspects of the vehicle in fine detail plus photographs of any issues etc. I carry out a detailed documentation check, including any outstanding finance (HPI) and insurance 'write off' status etc.
To clarify the level of my inspection, I check in excess of 300 points and include a road test where permitted by the vendor on both reports.
The 'Standard Report' costs £200 and the 'Extended Report' costs £250. I charge 50p per mile travelling expenses. There is NO VAT to pay.

I will tailor my involvement to suit your needs. If you need an intermediate or post restoration inspection, restoration management, auction advice and assistance, purchase negotiations or viewing the car with you............. just ask!
I will contact you by telephone / email on the day of my inspection, giving you a summary of my findings. This will be followed up with the written report including relevant photographs.
